  1. I have this 766 MB MPEG movie I would like to put on a DVD with iDVD. I have tried everything to convert it to a Quicktime DV movie (which takes hours even on this dual 1Ghz G4). When I use Cleaner 6, it errors out halfway with some funky "not enough audio data" error. Quicktime will do it (slowly) however, the audio is lost. What do I need to do to get this mpeg file converted to a DV format for iDVD? The movie is 1 hour long. PLEASE HELP!!!

Well, considering it's an MPEG, you might want to demux it. That splits the audio and video files. Then perhaps you could use quicktime to convert the video only file to DV and you can just use the already "de-muxed" audio. Keep in mind that when switching formats ( with Quicktime in this case ) to keep your frame rates the same, or the audio will lose sync with the video.

    Good luck

  3. OK, I've used bbDEMUX to separate the audio and video. I now have two files, a .m1a and a m1v. How do I combine these into one .mov file? Preferably a DV NTSC so iDVD is happy.
