  1. Hi, im a newbie at this and I needed some help,
    I would like to make a DVD. So far this is what I got up to;
I have the cucusoft avi to DVD; in there I convert the avi file to mpeg, cucusoft avi to DVD creates 3 types of files: mpeg, m2v and mpa
Then from there I go to program called “Info Edit”
In that program and hit DVD author and bring in on the video the m2v and audio mpa, it creates and goes in a folder called VIDEO_TS
    Got that so far.
Now that is for 1 part of the movie , the movies usally have 2 parts so I do the same steps for the 2nd pt of the movie they all end up in the same VIDEO_TS folder
This where I get in trouble
    I have Nero 5.5
I can find all the files created in the VIDEO_TS folder, but when I bring them over to the dvdvideo2_dvd in Nero the files get mixed up, and go in the wrong order.
I guess my question is, is there a way to burn in Nero and bring in 2 pts of the movie and have them go in correct order so the movie will play from beginning to end.
Also this is list of programs that I have? Which, they problem all do the same thing but I don’t know which is the better choice:
    Ahead Nero 5.5
    Cucusoft AVI-DVD
    DVDxCopy Express
    Roxio Easy cd creator 5
    Roxio Videowave 5 Power Edition
    Sonic MY DVD
    TMPGEnc
    VERITAS – record now
WINRAR, which I still, didn’t figure out lol

    Please HELP!!!

Have you tried any one of the AUTHORING guides start to finish? This would be a good place to start. Once you hit a snag you can post a question for that guide and get an answer from the autor ( or someone else farmiliar ).

Also a few points.... I think the program you are using was Ifoedit not Info Edit.

  3. If the 2 parts are continuous, then what you should do is frameserve both as one (use the Append Avi feature) from VDub to TMPGEnc, and encode the video of the movie as one full chunk. As for the audio, you can save both audios as one WAV from VDub, and process it as MP2, or AC3, or leave it alone as PCM! If you like the TMPGEnc built-in MP2 encoder (who does), then you probably won't have to extract the aduios as WAV files and can just frameserve the a/v together through VDub. If you don't know how to do this then GO LEARN IT!

After the processing, use your fav' authoring tool and BURN!
