I'm looking at laptops at Dell and they come with the following:
8-24-10-24X SWDVD/CDRW Combo Drive
I've spent the past half hour looking all over the internet, but I cannot find out what the hell SWDVD is. I can only guess that it means software, or single write?
Can anybody explain this to me?
Thanks!

Don't understand the above site's connection to Dell though. -

I will take a random shot in the dark and says its a DVD Rom / CD burner using a software decoder.
More to the point, dells laptops come with either cd burners, dvdroms, combo cd burners/dvdrom, or +RW DVD Burners. I know this cause I actually kinda like dells laptops and their decision to not even option an option with a DVD-R makes my sad.of course it was to be expected. But when I get my next laptop it means I get the cheapest option and add a burner myself.

Read the Babelfish translation. It's for Songs of Winds or something.I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
