  1. Ok--When you author a DVD, is it ok to just have .vob files in your VIDEO_TS folder? Will the DVD work?

I tried this and it doesn't so I guess not. All I have for my movie are the .vob files so what should I do to make this DVD work?

    Nope

Although .vob files are the actual video part of a dvd, you have to have the VIDEO_TS.ifo/.bup and also VTS_0x.ifo/.bup files

its been covered many times on how to make these, and its really not too difficult.

Essentially, name them such that they are in sequential order
    vts_01_01.vob
    vts_01_02.vob
    vts_01_03.vob
    vts_01_04.vob

then you need to open Virtual PC, run a small app called IFO EDIT
Click CREATE IFO, and select your 1st .vob and let it run

when its done, you have all the files you need

I do not know of a mac equivalent to this app. It would be nice if someone who has the ability to make apps make this program, but in the mean time its the only way I know of.

Do a forum search in the mac forum for more on this. I think the topic was 2dvd to 1 dvd and it talks about just what you need
