  1. I have mintek 1600, i'm worried that this player has now gone haywire on me.

when i play dvd-r movies it skips a lot once i get in the middle part of the movie, which i read happens to a lot of people who watches dvd-r movies in their other dvd players.

but mine also seems to skip on certain real dvd movies.

anyways the question is, in my mintek warranty card it says

    12 months Parts / 90 days Labor

what does PARTS and LABOR mean?
    can you guys define that?

i cant open up my dvd player, or else the sticker attached to the back would get torn, thus eliminating my warranty. i try carefully to remove it w/o tearing it, but its hopeless, that thing is glued hard.

    any tips?

man i hate that, why did they put that sticker anyways.

Parts: If the hardware (e.g., motor, plugs, etc.) causes the item to malfunction, and you did nothing wrong, and you had the item for less than 12 months, the company will repair or repalce it for nothing.

Labor: If the item was put together incoreectly by the company, and you had the item for less than 90 days, the company will repair or replace it for nothing.
    Hello.
