  1. Hi,

I am encoding a movie using Tmpgenc.
The original is a DIVX (avi).
    The bitrate is 6500 kbits/sec.
    I am using CBR.

After burning to DVD when I view the movie certain 'fast' or 'high action' scenes after not clear. Blocks appear on the screen. Yet during the still scenes the quality is excellent.

Is the answer to this VBR, and if so , then is it 2 pass.

    thanks

  2. VBR will help because it will allocate more bits where it needs it most, also set your motion search precision to high.

As long as the VBR max is above 6500.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

Yes well I was assuming an average of 6500 to keep a comparible filesize.
