I have just converted a film from xvid format to svcd using canopus converter. The output file was untitled (mpeg2-svcd_pal) the file is listed as mp2 file. When I try to put this to svcd2dvdmpg+ to convert I get the message no vob's. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with the canopus output file and how I can burn this as a svcd movie. I tried to burn it using nero but got the message unexpected file format.

.mp2 means it is an audio file and not a audio&video file which should be called .mpg.
You can do three things:
1. rename .mp2 to .mpg if the file should be a video&audio file ( i don't know canopus converter so i can't tell you what it produces
2. merge the .m2v & mp2 file to a mpg file with tmpgenc (file -> mpeg tools -> simple mulitplex)
3. reencode the divx to svcd with tmpgenc.
