anyone buy the new memorex cds? blue bottom layer...
is it just me, or is it you can't burn any vcd/svcds that has almost 800mb..???

It depends on the CDR you are talking about...
There are also other things to consider...
[74min/80min]
Each 74min = 650MB Mode 1/Data CD or ~740MB Mode 2/Video or Audio CD
Each 80min = 700MB Mode 1/Data CD or ~800MB Mode 2/Video or Audio CD
[Overburning]
Technically every CDR can be overburned to hold a few more MB. It depends on the CDR you are using in order to figure how about MORE overburn data can be used. The max I seen for a 74min is 670MB and for a 80min is 730MB (both Mode 1 Data). Or ~770MB for 74min and ~830MB for 80min under Mode 2 respectively.
