applescript error on encode

I am trying to do exactly the same thing which is said in the guide on how to encode VIDEO_TS folders into Divx formats in the ffmpegx homepage. I can get all the way until whats left is to punch the "encode" button, then when I punch it, an applescript error telling me the following comes out:
Can't get text item 2 of "/VIDEO_TS". (-1728)
My machine is a iMac G4 1Ghz OS X.2.6
Any advise can help thanks!

Check if English is first priority in Language order in international settings of system prefs.
