Hi, I'm very new to making VCDs and my computer knowledge and skills are very limited.
The problem I'm having is that I'm trying to make a vcd but the audio won't transcode (after it transcodes the video it will go to the audio but does nothing, i mean there are no bars that implicate anything is being transcoded) but the video does when I try to actually make the VCD. I've also made VCDs before and had no problem so I'm really confused and aggravated >.< And when I preview the VCD the fiels all work fine.
I'm using a HP DVD Writier 200i and Memorex 700mb CD-R discs. The program I go through to make the VCDs is the Sonic MYDVD.
If anyone can help me I'd be very grateful
Also, I usually use the program's already made menus but I now decided to use my own custom menu. I don't know if that would have anything to do with it but I basically only changed the background image..

You gave us everything except your source material. Is it , MPEG-2, MPEG-1 or what?

Oh sorry, the files are avi files. I messed around with the writer last night and it seems that some of the files won't have their audio transcoded but others will without any problem. I guess I would like to know what I can do with the avi files that aren't having their audio transcoded.

Check them using Gspot (in the Tools section) to see if you have the necessary codec installed on your system. AC3 maybe? Get the codec and install if necessary.Originally Posted by menchi"Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa
