I have been trying to convert them to XVCDs. It's gonna take along time. I have been using my ATI AIW128 Pro, Ulead, and Nero. I don't like using the program that comes with the ATI AIW b/c it does not act like a VCR meaning there is a delay when you press the "start capturing" button.
I have been taping these episodes since mid 1992. I kinda of liked the Simpsons when I was in Highschool. I was never taping them when they first started in late 1989("Simpson Roasting on an Open Fire". My sister came and visted us while her husband(my brother-in-law) was stationed in GUAM. She wanted to know if I would tape the episodes while he was in GUAM. So I did eventhough I never got into the show. Then, all of the sudden, this show became my favorite show and I have been taping them since then. My brother-in-law had the rest of the episodes that I just happened to miss. Besides they're coming out with most of those on DVD in few weeks. My favorite episode from Season 1 is probably "Call of The Simpsons". It's amazing how much you learn from this series.

I was NOT trying to shove it anyone's face that I have them. I was hoping others had them as well and would talk about his or her favorite episodes. I mean, this is no big achievement and it wasn't really difficult to get them from television. This is one of the main reasons I got into making XVCDs.

Okay, I feel better now. I was killing myself here trying to figure out how anybody could recommend a Curtis Mathes DVD player but it all makes sense to me now.
Plus I think I finally figured out where the weak laser really is. I was also killing myself trying to find it in my Apex's. I can stop looking now.

I've taped quite a bit of Simpsons back in the day. I still remember watching the first episode when I was in third grade
. (remember the rabbit homer accidently launched off the branch, lol)
12 years later, they still make funny &*% shows!! I wish I have taken better care of my tapes so I convert decent VCD discs -
hey erwin, i'm just givin' ya a hard time, i love the simpsons, watch them every day, that show never gets old.

I am sorry for my remarks, they were uncalled for. I just don't know you yet monsoon01. This is where it's difficult because we can't see stuff like "tone of voice" and "facial expressions", but I know where you're comming from now. Glad to have you aboard, monsoon01.

I would recommend both Curtis Mathes and Apex players. Try them both. I just haven't had the best of luck with my most recent Apex. The only reason I would recommend the Curtis Mathes player at this time is b/c it hasn't failed with me yet, as soon as it does, obviously I will call it a "dud" and I won't recommend it to anyone.
Isn't this the reason you recommend Apex players, Next? Because it has been successful or has performed well for you. Eventhough there are several people who have had issues with Apex players like: lip/video synch or a dead drive. Well, that's why I recommend the CM player.
Truth is, Curtis Mathes & Kmart both came to me with a flashing blue light and stated that I would need to come up with a good review. If I didn't, they would constantly solicit near my house with their slogan "Attention, Kmart Shoppers". Next, I think your on to me. But wait....there's more....We need to really find out who shot Mr. Burns. There's no way it could be Maggie. Personally I think it was Santa's Little Helper.

Who watched tonight's episode? I would say Homer's dream was probably the highlight of the show. I wish that I could go back and do a live capture of all the Simpsons (they look so much better this way).

Yeah, that's a good one. I liked the part where they show the robotic Richard Simmons (that should've never been left out). Seeing those old Tracy Ulman Shorts shows just how far this series has come. Who knows how long it will last. But atleast 3 to 2 episodes can be fit on a disc. Of course it's better to have 2 at a video data rate of atleast 1500Kbps with a audio rate of 44100/224Kbps. These episodes deserve it. -

Anyone have the "1st Season DVD Box Set" yet? It's a good thing they didn't release these all at once or I would be in a financial crisis
I'm guessing the next set is going to cost between $45 and $40 since a typical season contains about 21 episodes instead of 13.
