SVCD to DVD

im trying to convert this SVCD i have its info is as follows
mpeg2
1.6g
6458.492 sec
193,561 frames
24bits
480x480
29.970f/s
vbr 2450
im trying to convert it to DVD cause i jsut bought a DVD burner, but all the guides aren't helping me, first one i read said merge the 2 MPEG-2 videos with TMPGEnc i kept haveing sync issues, so i used MPEG-VCR and its perfect now, but now converting the mpeg2 into a DVD compliant video doens't work, i tried MainConcept MPEG Encoder and Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2. MainConcept had some sorta error toward the end of the movie, and reshaped it to a widescreen type movie stretched it out, and MF2 took 24 hours and still wasn't 50%, and was useing so many resources i could barely get my screen saver off to check the %
anyone have any advice?

oh BTW will i have this much trouble with VCD, kinda scared to test that out

get cd into bin file cdrwin style
open bin in svcd2dvdmpg
dont fix headers
save as mpg
join files in tmpgenc
use wizard for your preferred dvd format
author with whatever prog u use
