    Hi,

Sorry if this has been posted before but I want the resolutions on PAL widescreen TV resolutions. I am wanting to make back-ups of some of my DVD's, for example Triple X that is in 2.35:1 resolution that's letterboxed and presented in the 16:9 TV format (small black bars appear when viewed on a widescreen TV). I want to know what resolution to encode it in. I know I can tell DVDx to do a 'Normal letterbox 4/3' but I'd like to put it in 'Full 16/9' and then change the resolution to make it suitable to watch on a 4:3 TV if desired. I believe the NTSC resolution for this is 720x400 but I want to know what the PAL resolution is? I believe it will be a little over 400 but not too sure on the correct setting.

    Thanks for any information received.

Sorry but that doesn't help. I am trying to find a custom size that I explained in my first post. It may seem a little confusing but I'm sure someone will be able to help.

    Thanks anyway.
