  1. I'm looking for a DVD with some good TV calibration/test patterns. Anyone know where I can get one? I'm perfectly happy to buy one since part of the test I want to make is my burning style vs prof burning

I searched the forum for "Test Pattern" and found a post by BJ_M back in Feb saying he was going to make test pattern VCD. I couldn't find a follow up thread though.

I'm more interested in picture size & position calibration than color/contrast/brightness calibration.

    Thanks!!

  2. This DVD is more about Color and Contrast:
Get it at Netflix, should come with a blue filter (plastic sheet)
    to help with calibration.

  3. I used the sound and vision guide to Home Theater.

Has a lot of test tones and video calbration tools.

I got mine on amazon for $12

If you want a test card generator for your PC, e-mail me at studio@energy80s.com and I can send you a little freeware app that allows you to make your own custom card patterns. These can then be encoded and burnt onto any media of your choice.

Avia is another calibration DVD that you may want to give a look at. Amazon has it for $37.46 with free shipping. Lists for $49.95.

  6. Thanks for the info. Does either Avia or Vedio Essentials do geometric test patterns or are they both just color/contrast correction?

Energy80s, I'm definitely interested in your custom card app. Mail is on it's way.

    Thanks!
