    Anyone have any idea how to take a dual layer dvd and compress it down to get it on a single layer dvd-r?

    I need to do this when the movie is to long to fit on 4.7 gig media after cutting out all the extras.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    which software would you recommend to do this?

    I tried re-mpeg and that didn't work to well.
