  1. I used DVD Maestro and create 2 menu - Main menu and Chapter Menu

Main Menu - with one button to play the whole movie and one button to go to Chapter Selection menu.

When I use the remote "Menu" Button, I would like it to go to the last menu that I am in. That is if I play the movie from the main menu, when I hit the remote menu Button, it will go to main Menu; but if I go to the Chapter Menu first and then play the movie, when I hit the remote menu button, i would like to go the chapter menu instead.

How do I do that in DVD Maestro? In other authoring software, it defualts to the way I describe. But in DVD Maestro, when I do the connections, they ask me to link the menu key to only one menu, how can I tell it to link to the last menu I am in?

    I hope someone can help!

    Thanks

I'm at home right now, so I can't check this. I'd do one of 2 things:

    1. Skip what you say you're trying to do, and make the Main menu your "Title" key and the Chapter menu your "Menu" key. Just leave it like that and you can go to either one, you just have to remember which key you want to push. Personally, that's the way I like it.

    2. Use "Command Sequences" to remember what the last button was pushed, and then make the menu button go to a branching compare of the memory with the options. This can get quite involved, so I really would just recommend that you work through the manual on that one. After you've gotten the hang of it, you can make it do just about anything you want it to. This is where Maestro starts to reach up into the realm of Scenarist, but it's also the area where you are more exposed and have to treat what you're doing like Computer Programming.

  3. Hi Scott,

I guess all I want is when I hit the "Menu" on the remote, it goes back to the button that last highlighted.

Do you know how to do that? or do I need to use the Command Squence? Do you know how to write that because I do not have the Mastero menu?

If you can shed some lights, that would be wonderful!

    thanks

  4. I know someone out there must know the solution to this.

DVD lab, DVDit, they defaults when you hit the menu button during the movie, they make sure you go back to the last menu you are in.

I am sure DVD maestro, a very powerful authoring software should be able to do that. I am just do not know how to do command sequence.

Would someone shed some light on this subject.

    Thanks,
