I need to convert alot of money into Japanese yen. I have been reluctant because the Yen has been so valuable latly, does anyone know if their are indictations the Yen is gonna crap out and go to 130 or 140 to the Dollar or if they are gonna raise the backing and it drop down to like 107

Also, the other question is if they are gonna crap out then Yen and it become 130, will that be before June 24th. -

  2. It's on a slight downward trend at the moment.

The best thing that you could hope for is a SARS scare or something similar to drop their currency dramatically. Otherwise it looks like the most it is going to rise or fall is a few yen at most.

No one can predict what's going to happen. No matter how much you read and how many experts tell you what they think is going to happen, you can't predict stocks, futures, or the money market.

If you can get a favorable rate, go for it, especially since it seems like a one time deal.

I exchanged it today. 108 to the dollar.

However, by using my Triple A card, I got a 1% comission rate. $3 total. The normal rate for trading what i traded was 25 dollars.

So what I lost in the transaction, i gained in the saving. I'm going to do the rest tomarrow.
