  1. I know I will be mocked for even asking this BUT, I am trying to find out if I can convert DVD to VHS? I would like to transfer some DVD's I have to VHS for my parents who do not have a DVD player (long story) and am not sure how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

I hope this is within the rules of the forum... if not I apologize.

What you need is a DVD Player marked as "Macrovision disabled", or "VCR Friendly". Then you can simply connect the DVD player to the the input of the VCR and record.

If you don't have a DVD player that allows for this copying, you can get a Macrovision defeater box, however I don't know if these are legal so I can't post the link to one (and I have also heard they are very temprimental).

  3. I hope this is also within the forum rules. I believe it is because it links to something else with this site.

Check to see if your dvd player has a macrovision hack. Check here.
