Converting .AVI's into VIDEO_TS

Is there a way?

I like to burn as a data file in Recordnow Max using the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders with all the files in them. But what do I do with my .AVI's and MPG's? I wanna burn them to a DVD and know for a fact that it will be compatible like I do my other movies. Please help. thanks

man I get this stupid error when tmpgen starts to encode my .avi

"Write error occured at address 77FCB8F4 of module 'ntdll.dll' with 00000000."

what in gods name does that mean? this is killin me! I wanna burn this thing to a dvd so bad, but I cant

ok I finally figured that out... I need some different codecs... I now have my movie in mpg... how do I convert it into a VIDEO_TS folder with all those crazy files?????? please help

I'm guessing you want to create a Video DVD, right? Then you have to author your mpeg as a Video DVD. There are many guides and applications for this. See How to - Author.

BINGO!
Of course some DVD authoring programs can BURN for you but I prefer to have it make a VIDEO_TS folder. I then use ImgTool (classic version) to create an IMAGE file from that VIDEO_TS folder then burn the single IMAGE file to DVD using DVD Decrypter. This works great and much better than most other burning methods. However I have heard good things about RecordNow Max.

I have already made it a mpeg2 with tmpgen I now have my mpg... I want it to become the VIDEO_TS folder. I dont know if I confused u earlier.

You need to use what is called an authoring program. There are many as you can imagine. Look in the GUIDES section under AUTHOR and/or in the TOOLS section (again under AUTHOR).

If you want something really easy and quick try Ulead DVD Movie Factory...just input your dvd complient mpeg and click next basically...

If you are the creative type... try DVDLab...offers much more creativity...
