  1. Currently I am using a CD-Rom for ripping music, a CD burner for music and game back ups, and a DVD burner for the video. I am about to re-build my box and i want to get down to a single unit so I am looking for some input on what is good. I am looking for a DVD burner that can do both +/- DVD burning, good data and music burning, and good at copying musice and data, and do it all with quality. Does anyone have a burning they would recomend I take a look at. I did check out the "DVD Writers" section and their is a lot to choise from so some direction would be cool.

I use the Sony DRU-510A and love it. It is the upgrade to the Sony DRU-500A which has been the Maximum PC Best of the Best DVD Writer for many months.

I think the 510 is pretty much the same as the 500 except it can burn different formats at a higher speed. For example the 510 claims to write DVD+RW at 4x although I am yet to confirm that as I haven't found any 4x +RW media.

I think there are some other really nice do it all DVD Writers to choose from too.
