OK just started using this & tried to rip a VOB that was just over 27mins long. When I told it to "compile whole file" it automatically set the frames to compile to 300000 frames. This equates to 3.33 hours! The only way I could get it to compile just the movie with no extra frames was to manually work out how many frames there were in the file. Is this a bug in flask as the only info in the docs was that the compile whole file was not frame accurate. No Kidding!

Firstly, use FlaskMPEG 0.6pre1.1.
Secondly, this problem exists with some of the plug-ins.
If you are using FlaskMPEG, you should strongly consider using the Panasonic MPEG Encoder plug-in as it provides the best (and most convenient) MPEG-1 encoding with Flask. Furthermore, you don't have this problem with the Panasonic MPEG Encoder.
If you frameserving to TMPGEnc, working out the exact number of frames is a good idea (and not particularly hard to do).
If you want to use TMPGEnc, I would suggest that DVD2AVI would be a better route rather than Flask.

Thanks for that info. It wasn`t hard to work out the required number of frames, which did work fine. Its just that I`m a lazy so & so & wanted to just click a button
I was doing this rip on a friends computer as I was not at home at the time & they didn`t have the panasonic plug-in. Having said that, I don`t use the panasonic when at home either. I usually only encode from VHS via my DV camcorder & firewire due to not having a DVD-ROM at home, only a stand-alone player so this was my first ever DVD rip.
I did d/l 0.6 but I`m not sure its pre1.1. I assume it is as I got it off the official flask site on saturday.
