Why is my Mintek 1600 crap?

Well I've read many of the reiews and the 1600 is supposed to be a good player, but mine has had poblems since I got it. The camera angle icon pops up during movies, there is a very noticable freeze between chapters and subtitles will pop up for no reason either in English, French, or Spanish. I've returned the unit once and got a replacement and it did the same thing. Is there any function or functions that are enabled by default that would cause these problems? Is there any way to fix it?

Seems like you got a lemon, get another or your money back, could be a bad batch

Its just a bad item..take it back and HOPE you can get another. I have given tons to cliensta and they are please...I have 16 left to distribute this year...But I believe they are gone from stores....

go to www.nerd-out.com and get the software to change your mintek to a shinco 806 or to a macrovision/ region free mintek 2110

Thats an idea but may not fix his problem. If he has a defective unit, better to get replaced. The company is very good and their products are awesome. Too bad they were getting screwed by the bigs...
