DVD RAM disks recorded on the HS2 dont play back right on my RP91

The DMR-HS2 is connected to a DSS via AV1 RGB (SCART !Yuk! why is this rubbish inflicted on us) and I recorded to a
imation type 4 DVD-RAM, using FR and EP modes, when I play these recordings on
the Panasonic DVD-RP91 connected via component video out and progressive scan,
the picture is very slightly "jerky"
like in a slow motion play mode, the sound is fine but a little out of sync
with the picture.
