  1. I haven't been able to find any information on this drive on the net so I thought i'd give some info on it. Koss has a new drive (i'm pretty sure the model # was sl1132 i'll double check that when i get home) out that is progressive scan and plays:
tested by me: dvd, dvd+r, dvd+rw (which have been rewritten to), vcd, svcd,cd-r.
untested by me:dvd-r, dvd-rw, wma, mp3, and has two mike inputs for karaoke.

digital coax and optical audio out's, component and s-video out's. All for the low price of $99 candian. I got mine at costco and am extremely happy with it so far. I was going to buy a $170 JVC because i needed a drive that could play +rw's that have been burned more than once and this thing does without skipping a beat. Picture quality is better than the kd260 as well. I haven't tested the progressive scan feature yet because I don't have a compatible monitor. $99 Canadian!!

  3. sounds like a good deal. I don't see any advantages over my Philips 724 which plays everything I've ever thrown at it...but it seems like it does the same...and for about the same price.

Hopefully Baldrick will add this player to the DVD PLAYER section of the forum so that others can elaborate on this Koss' positive and/or negatives.

  4. Baldrick has added the player...hopefully we can get some feedback from the DVD PLAYER section of the forum so we can find out what media it likes or doesn't like, as well as all of its positives and negatives.
