    Please bear with me as I know next to nothing about DVD players. About 2 months ago I received a Phillips 711 as a gift. Since my roomate already had a DVD player I never bothered to hook my up. However, when I did I couldn't get it to play any VCDs. When I popped them im my computer they played fine. Thanx in advance for any help.
    I also found out that the person payed alomst $175.00 for the player. Should I just return it and buy another model?

    Sorry to hear that m8, I own a phillips 710 and it playes evrey-thing dvd vcd and audio hope you find the answer soon
