  1. I ordered a couple packs of those printables samsung/beall? over at rima however when I look at the bottoms the outer edge seems to be all scratched. Out of 50 disks burned 6 had sense errors near the end. I was wondering which brands of printable disks everybody had luck with that are not over 1.50 per disk.

  2. Try Rima's DupEZ inkjet printable. Its about $1 a disc and it has worked great for me.

  3. I ordered some -R 1x Acme branded media (sticker on the packaging), listed as us digital media brand on the site, which show:

    00 6A 00 00 01 40 C1 FD 9E D8 50 00 02 89 0E 13 .j...@....P.....
    87 88 80 00 03 53 4F 4E 59 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 .....SONY.......

The burn side is light purple with a blue ring at the outer edge and on the inside of the core.

I got these from cdrom2go.com - I think $59 for 50 on a spindle. Burned about 10 so far on dru500ax (rev C?) and so far so good. Printed on an epson 960 and the lables print pretty well.

1x was ok for me - not great but I was willing to take the tradeoff b/c I didn't want to spend that much on them and also aren't using them for anything needing 'archival' quality.

Actually I'd be interested too if anyone has any comments on these media.

In general, the words BUDGET and PRINTABLE don't belong in the same sentence, so good luck. Manufacturers know that's where they can gouge the buyers, as most of the are corporate or commercial.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

Ritek inkjet printables over at RIMA should be G03s with a paper top.

  7. Yes the DupEZ's are LD, but I've used about twenty five of them and they've all worked great. I haven't had any issues with them.
