To the Author of VCDEasy

First of all, thank you for this wonderful S/VCD authoring tool!

Now I have a little problem with it. Let's say I created a SVCD with 20 chapters, it plays perfectly. When it's playing chapter 3 and I want to jump to chapter 5, so I press NEXT button, but it always start from chapter 1. Maybe it's player related or otherwize? It seems that DVD player doesn't keep track of which chapter it's playing. Or is it a problem with VCDEasy?

1.Wierd. Maybe there is something wrong in the Intractivity dialog. Check the 'next' dropdown from the chapters and make sure it's going to the next chapter and not back to the first.

2.The other problem might be that you have not actually made any chapters. This has happened to me inadvertently when I have more than one mpg file and I've put the chapters on the wrong file. If you jump forward in this case it would normally just end. If the problem happens only on some chapters then maybe...

3.I haven't had a problem with this but there is a note about what might happen if you uncheck 'update scan offsets' option. My player doesn't mind but your's might. Have a look.

That's pretty much how things work. Chapters on (S)VCD aren't like DVD chapters, they're just entrypoints. They're places you can jump to, but the player won't keep track of them when you play straight through.

I have that same problem with my GE player but not my APEX so I would say it's related to your player.
