I want to compress images done with DVD2SVCD in case that I break the CD's where I originally burned them. I want to keep a backup of all svcd's I make but as everybody knows the average movie is about 1.6 GB (2 x 800 MB) and the HD is going to be full with just a few movies. I was wondering if theres a tool to compress them to lets say 100 MB. Does someody knows?

2) If your question has anything to do with copying PS2/PC/XBox games, find a more appropriate website -
wouldnt your dvd original be considered a good backup ?
mpeg2 doesnt compress much if any -- make a 2nd disk set if so inclined .. -
BJ_M is correct. Using programs like Winzip/Winrar won't do much good as it is already compressed.
I think the last time I tried it reduced the file by about 20mb. -
whoops, my mistake lol

Just make a second SVCD set and lock them in an airtight metal chest...
