    I burnt a movie into SVCD format using Tmpeg and then I burnt it onto a CD using nero. I have a Technics home theatre system. When I play the movie on it it seems to come frame by frame. As in there is a lag between each frame. Any idea as to why this is ? and if there is any way to rectify it other than converting it into MPEG1 and then making a standard VCD ? I really like the quality of this movie and would like to maintain it in this case.

    Are you sure your DVD player is SVCD compatible. The compatability of SVCD is lower than that of VCD. Have you checked the dvd player compatability list for any users comments on SVCD.
