I've a Marvel G400 that I use to acquire from a hi8 (in composite..)sony for my family films. I also use my computer to play, but the most recent games cry when thay realize my G400.
I thought to buy a radeon 9000 vivo, which is supposed to be a decent game card and to be able to acquire video signals also. Could it work?
I've a 1.4 athlon , 256 mb ram with 2 30gig hd in raid 0, pioneer dvd writer and so on...my doubt is if I can acquire 704 576 with this card (the g400 uses hardware compression in mjpeg...without hardware compression will I be able to acquire the signal?? and how??)
Thanks a lot and bye from Italy![]()

I don’t play many games so can’t comment on it’s performance but it’s 64mb DDR compared to the Matrox 32mb so I guess there’s a good guide
I have played Medal of Honour (sorry, Honor) with the ATI and whilst I never played it with the G400 it looks stunning.
