Looking at the compatibility chart and other forum posts, it seems as if the DV-525 should play DVD+Rs and +RWs, but mine doesn't. I am burning the discs with an NEC ND-1100A. I have tried direct ISO copies of discs using DVD Decrypter, remastered discs using DVDShrink, and movies I've created using Ulead DVD Movie Factory, none of them play in my 525 on either +R or +RW media. I have tried Memorex, Fuji, and HP +R media, and Fuji +RWs without success.

All of those discs play fine on my other DVD player, a Sony (don't know the model number offhand) that's about 2 years old, so I know the discs are working. I'm just wondering if there's some BIOS update or something I need to do to my 525, or maybe mine is an early 525 that's missing +R compatibility, or what. Any ideas?
