  1. Ok, I tried buring a VCD using VCDEasy. It was about 20 things that I was trying to burn. It scanned in fine and everything was going great until I got this error message that said:

    "VCDxBuild.exe" execution failed:
invalid mpeg packet found at packet #194 -- please fix this mpeg file!

I have absolutely no idea what that means. I tried re-arranging the order of the stuff and I still got that message. Anyone know what it means? I sure would appreciate any help!

P.S. Maybe it's because I haven't gotten the new version of VCDEasy yet........that could be it. I'm gonna get the new version now and see if that helps.

The message says what it means - one of your MPEG files appears to be damaged and vcdimager can not create a VCD image from it. If you look at the log you'll see which MPEG caused the error.

If the damage is minor you may be able to fix it by demuxing and remuxing that MPEG, or vcdgear may be able to repair it.

You should try de-multiplexing your file and then re-multiplexing it again.

You should use bbMPEG to re-multiplex as it multiplexes your files without any packet errors or anything.

  7. (Yes, I know this is a little late but..) I got all the software that you guys told me to get, the only prob I have now is figuring out which mpeg is the bad one! It says that there's a prob in mpeg packet #194. But I don't have 194 things on my CD. I'm not very good at this, so I'm COMPLETELY lost. Any help would be appreciated!!!

If you look at the log message it'll say something like "scanning item #X" or "adding item #X". The number will tell you which item it is, the numbering in the log messages is based on the numbering of the clips in the VCDEasy layout. Stills and movies are numbered seperately, and I think the first item is numbered 0, not 1, but these things should be obvious when you read through the log messages.

  9. I did read it through and for all the items it said "scanning item #0". It never changed. So I'm kinda lost right now.
