  1. ok, i have an mpeg with the audio already converted, i used tmpgenc. when i went to write to disc using ulead moviefactory, it started converting videos, which takes hours upon hours to convert. if i have converted firstly using tmpgenc, then why do i need to convert all over again?

  2. As to why it did that I can't help I am a newbie too.. but there is a patch for Moive Factory that speeds up the conversion time considerably. I'm having difficulty with that program too.

Get the patch at the Ulead web page.

  3. There is a check box in the options that says "Do not convert compliant video" You should check it. I use Ulead movie factory 2.

If the video frame size or the audio type specified in the 'Project Settings' don't match your video then MF will always re-encode regardless of the 'Do not convert ..' option.

Before you write the video, change the settings to match the video. (To do this click on the blue tick box at the bottm of the screen and select 'Change MPEG Settings', select 'Customize' and change the Frame Size, Video Data rate and Audio Format settings).
