Guys,
Is there a firmware flash that will allow me to remove the RPC2 region settings? Playback is fine via DVD Region-Free but ripping seems to present me with some problems. I've looked at the firmware-flash site but I'm a bit of a n00b and its seems there is isn't.
Any advice or links will be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
fug

dont bother flashing your firmware...you may funk it up...use dvd region killer instead...its a program from the makers of clone cd and its freeware and it works great

Cheers for the response.
Sorry to be a n00b but I've read through the help files with Region Killer and I'm assuming should the region become locked on my DVDR then region killer will reset it to another region within the hardware?
The reason i ask is because I change the region to "1" and then check the drive but it still says "2". In addition, DVD Decrypter starts throwing up lots of authentication errors when trying to decrypt a R1 title. If I set the DVDR to R1 (using up another of my 5 chances) then it works fine.
