ATI AIW 8500dv Owners, Question for a new owner on drivers..

I have just recently purchased the aiw 8500dv. I havent had too much time to play around with it much, but my ? right now is what is the best drivers/mmc to be using with win xp. The most recent(5-15-03)?

I have only installed the software once and it was causing my system to lock up pretty badly.

The new drivers and then then MMC 7.7 combination may work best for you. MMC 8.x is buggy still, with new releases of it coming out almost every other week.

And as an FYI - the ULEAD Video Studio that came packaged with my A-I-W 8500DV caused my system to lock up and crash to the point I had to wipe the drive and start from scratch.

I bought a DVD-R drive about the same time and it included Cyberlink's PowerDirector Pro, and it has worked flawlessly for me, so I would recommend looking for a copy of that (http://www.gocyberlink.com) if you think it might be ULEAD software causing your problems.

Over the weekend I plan on doing a much needed clean sweep and going from their. I will resist installing ulead and see how my system is working...and will go with the current drivers and mmc 7.7
