    Hey,

    I need help! I dont know wat dvd player to buy. I need CDR, CDRW, DVDR, DVDRW, VCD, SVCD, XVCD, and XSVCD. I also need Dolby Digital out, Decoder, and Optical Out. I am lookin for something under 500$$$$! Plz if anyone knows of anything GOOD---> BETTER, plz reply or send me an e-mail! thanx

  2. go to kmart and get the curtis mathes cmd5000 for ~160 dollars. You WILL NOT be dissapointed, believe me. It does everything you ask, and plays everything perfectly!

  3. oh wait! i never tried dvdr or dvdrw but i bet it probably would work...that is the only guarantee i can not make to you

  5. try this one (http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/divineo/us-vid-dvdu) out, but if u rather have a 3 disc changer get the Apex703 each are about $179, and i know the Apex703 play OGT subs (S/X)Vcds and mp3 and cdr and cdrw but this one also says it plays all these things plus dvd-r and dvd-rw so get either one, but i know the apex plays everyhting!

  6. Just from personal experince of buying DVD players over the last 4 years, what ever you buy I'd get an extended warranty, its about 20-30 bucks and most is, "they can't fix it" you get another.
    Stay with the chinese, korean, or any other made in asia, they all have computer IDE DVD drives in them and will just about play anything out there.

    Yep, he's right about that. Curtis Mathes and Apex are just a few examples. Since they have IDE DVD drives, they will give a performance similiar to what you see on your computer drives.
