A new release of VCDwizard came available : VCDwizard 2.7.0.0
New in this release :
* Thanks to the latest of lkVCDimager 5.0.7.10, you'll now be able to import existing "projects" into VCDwizard.
These 'existing' projects can be :
1) an XML-file, you previously exported using VCDwizard or any other (lk)VCDimager-GUI, self-written using the restrictions of the (lk)VCDimager DTD.
2) a cd-image (bin or nrg), you previously wrote.
3) an already burned or a pressed S/VCD CD-Rom. Using this last method, you need to have ASPI properly installed.
* Besides building a PBC using Drag-'n-Drop, it's now also possible to create an unreferenced PBC-item.
* You'll be able to create 'empty'/'unreferenced' selectlist-items as well. These are handy to disable a numeric-key at the remote of your dvd/vcd-player.
Changed in this release :
* Since it makes no sence to create a referenced EndList at a VCD2.0 (both lkVCDxBuild and VCDxBuild makes it unreferenced : not playing anything), you no longer can create a referenced EndList when you're generating a VCD2.0. When dropping a stream and even when the stream is a Still, you no longer can choose to create an EndList. If it seems you still want to have an EndList, then create one by adding an unreferenced PBC-item.
Of course, this restriction is NOT the case when you're building a SVCD.
Downloads are available at labDV, SourceForge and at vcdHelp.

A new release of VCDwizard is available : rel. 2.8.0.0
New in this release:
1) Support for chapter-import, exported using (formatted output) of ChapterXtractor (Sefy's gonna explain more about it in his backup-guide 2.8 ).
2) Another project of mine: lkCDRtools, which has a forked version of cdrDAO, makes it now possible to do all cd-things (burning/ripping) directly from inside of VCDwizard.
You still need to have ASPI-scsi propperly installed (like you need with cdrDAO) but you don't need to worry about dos-parameters of cdrDAO to get the same result (and more : better performance). This has been tested and approved in winNT4, win2K and winXP (not yet in any w9x/wME version).
All other things, currently available in cdrDAO (cdrDAO actually was designed for ripping/writing audio-cd's), also is available in VCDwizard.
Fixed/Changed:
1) A reported bug, only occuring when one imports an entire s/vcd (direct from cd, from cue/bin-image, via the "Import-Session"), which made VCDwizard to crash as soon the PBC-Page was accessed has been fixed.
2) Chapter-processing in the PBC has been made easier. Like you can have sometimes over 15chapters for just 1 movie, you don't need to add them all seperatly manually to the PBC to activate them.
Just set that you want VCDwizard to take care of (sub-)chapters of a movie when creating a Select-/Play-List when dragging the main movie (chapter '0') to the PBC and VCDwizard will add them all at once.
You'll just see the main movie in the PBC, but all chapters will be added as playitems when creating a PlayList or as sub-SelectList's when creating a SelectList.
When creating a SelectList, the (sub-)chapters will inherit all settings of the main movie but only the prev/next keys will be updated so you have a real linked list. When the XML is created all will look as if you'd created them all manually.
This new release (and sources as wel) is available at SourceForge.
Regards.
