  1. At most of the stores in my area I've been noticing a trend that only DVD+R media is on the shelves. I know it's a matter of preference but was wondering which media should I use. Been using -R should I switch to +R since that seems to be a more popular media.

  2. Get whatever is on sale and works reliable in your burner and stand-alone player.

ditto. and if you anticipate burning a lot of dvd media, stop buying from the stores and buy in bulk online, you're getting jobbed.

  4. Thank you. Going by the posts in the media section I think I may try a DVD+R because it seems to work pretty good with the Sony DRU 500. I'll take your advice and only get the smallest pack available at the store, burn it check it with my DVD players and if OK then will buy in bulk. Again thank you.

  5. If the -R is working fine for you, I wouldn't bother switching, because +R media is more expensive. Definately stop buying in the stores once you find something that works.

  6. I'm using Ulead Movie Factory now and with a DVD+R everything goes along fine till right near the end of writing to disc, when it switches to finalizing it ejects the disc but gives me a Successfully completed box-however there is nothing on the disc. I notice3d that on the about Ulead MMC plugin that it states it supports cd-r, dvd-r and dvd+rw. Is this the problem or did I probably do something wrong, either way I'm gonna try and burn in nero but believe I'll try to find some dvd-r media.
