  1. I've recently burnt my first SVCD and I seem to missing some of the movie this is what I've done:

    Movie: 28 Days Later SVCD

Converted: .bin file to mpg using IsoBuster

Burnt: Used Nero to burn both of the converted mpgs to CD in SVCD format.

Now I've checked the movies on my DVD player and the running time on CD1 is 36 mins and CD2 32 mins now when I play the converted files on my PC they are both around 54 mins each (the correct length) and now I've just checked the burnt SVCD on my PC and the running time is correct. I then put the SVCD back into the DVD player and timed it with a stop watch and I've found out that the counter pauses every now and then has anybody encountered this as its been driving me nuts trying to find out the problem

    Cheers

  2. I would like to know as well.....my dillema is similar.

I recieved a rather large MPEG2 (795 megs) that somehow is GREAT quality and is over 1 hour long!!! I mean, this thing is perfect quality SVCD evidently encoded at a high bitrate from the look of it, and is over 1 hour long. When I burn it to SVCD and play it my DVD player says it's 35 minutes long. When I play it the counter stops every so often!

    What the heck!!

Here's the kicker....when I burn it the a/v synch is perfect. When I add a menu all of the sudden it's out of sych!!

I gave up and just re-encoded at a high bit rate and split the file into TWO 790 meg files!!!

This has had me scratching my head for a while now!!!
