  1. I use DVDShrink (ver. 1.03) for the movie Pearl Harbor.
It works great, but all the subtitels are gone.

me how I must do this ??
    thanks,

In DVDShrink, if you choose to customize the streams you can select which subtitles to keep and which to throw away. I've tried the program with quite a few titles and it worked ok all times.

Except for Peal Harbor (Region2). With that disk, it crashed. A little investigation showed some indications of poor authoring, so I think DVDShrink can be excused. (Don't think that commercial DVDs are correctly authored. Try 007-Die another day. Apart from it being authored with each trailer and clip as a different VTS - which is excusable - it even contains several single frame placeholders with the SPRUCE logo. DVDShrink said that there are several un-linked cells and removed them from the target compilation.

As for the helpful2002 question, if you have used DVDShrink to shrink the video to a size that fits on a DVDR, then the recording s/w cannot possibly un-shrink it. What s/w are you using ? Is it one of the all-in-one authoring-recording programs? They tend to re-encode.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
