I seen this toshiba dvd writer at newegg.com and it seems like a good deal and there is no rebate crap to deal with. Why should I pay more for the pioneer or cendyne???? Any thoughts?

Has a vendor finally broken under the $200 mark.
I hate thjose freakin rebates too.

I've had the sd-r5002 for about a month now and it's a great burner for the price.It's very very quiet and I've hav'nt burned a coaster yet

Actually, if you take a look at a banner that occasionally appears on this website, the Pioneer 105 is under $200 as well.
