OK, I tried everything. I have a cyberdrive DM168D 16x dvd-rom. I tried the aspi drivers from adaptec on my xp system. I tried changing busmaster controllers. I checked the DMA and it was enabled also. I tried Deleteing the Secondary ide controller where my dvd-rom drive is installed and still everything is ripped at 2X most is 5.7x.
Is there anything i can do to speed this drive Up ???
I do get this when i use smartripper
Aspi Adapter Available...
Try to unlock Drive
No aspi access to this drive...
Switch to winio....
Thanks

Have you removed the Hard Disk Controllers from Device Manager and rebooted to have Windows reinstall the drivers?Try DVDDecrypter to rip and see what speed you get,if it's the same then 5.7x is the max you can rip on your DVD-ROM.
