  1. I am having trouble with the above title, specifically the audio. The audio tracks are as follows;

    1, Czech 5.1
    2, German 5.1
    3, English 5.1
    4, English directors commentary.

Obviously it is unusuall not to have English as first track. In DVD2ONE, if I just select track 3, the output has no audio. I just tried DVD Toolbox, stripped with track 3 only, again, no audio.

Not sure what to do now. Anybody?

    cheers

Edit, just tried DVD Shrink, same result, no Audio available ( when played through Power DVD anyway ) I should mention that I haven't tried writing any of the above it disc yet, just playing in Power DVD.

  2. Try DVDDecrypter in stream mode, and rip out all of the audio tracks. Click on the english one and see if it plays in PowerDVD. May be an issue with your PowerDVD setup.

  3. Hmm, getting nowhere, just tried to play the ripped files on my hard drive through Power DVD ( full disc rip ), plays only first soundtrack, others not listed. Thought I sussed it just now, noticed in DVD Toolbox it says at the bottom to right click a stream to make it standard, so I did this and unticked the others. The english track was highlighted in red to signify that it was selected as default, stripped, but result was the same.

I have had that same problem with Behind Enemy Lines. I ripped the main movie, sent it through DVD2ONE, and burned it to DVD. Then played in DVD player and realized "no sound". So I played the VOB's in PowerDVD, also no sound. I ripped it with DVDDecrypter, Smart Ripper, and DVD Shrink, all with the same results. So I tried the whole movie, and all features, extras, and menu's played with sound but still the movie had no sound. I found no solution by myself and also with the help of many others from this site. So I am sorry to say "You might not be backing up that one".

I don't know if this will help, as I do DVD2SVCD, not DVD to DVD, but I had a similar prob with Spy Kids. Tried convert half a dozen times, no sound, finally ripped "All Files" to HD with Smartripper and conversion worked.

  9. hi,i done changing lanes 2 days ago,uk region 2 version, basically i used dvd decrypter, chose ifo mode and stream processing, kept the default audio [the czech one 0x80] and also kept the english audio [5 channel i think it was] and unticked the other audio, kept all subtitles, then used dvd2one 1.1.1,again ticking just czech and english audio, then played the disc back on dvd player, the dvd player played the english sound by default so no problems.

p.s: i have seen this same audio problem in some films, and always i get round it by keeping the [0x80 default audio] and then keeping the english track too, jimmy neutron film is the same it has czech language as default.

the way i back up my discs is to rip everything with DVD Decryptor, then process film with CCE after ripping audio track...i use DVD2DVDR...wonderful program!

then i recompile the english audio that i want with my newly sized m2v file using DVD Maestro...you could also use any other authoring app to recompile the audio and video

that way you get exactly what you want

    cheers!

  12. Use DVD2DVD-R check the box "expert-mode"

and you'll be able to select which sound will auto play, can also be done in ifoedit, which is the program that DVD2DVD-R uses to do this

haven't tried this, but it may work
