  1. I've already got a Pioneer A04. Please be careful, the ad says DVD+RW. I thought CenDyne only has the 105 model, which is a -R/W. The ad is in their weekly specials, which goes into effect this Sunday. Check with your store.

  2. And, right next to it you can find a 52x24x52 CD-RW for $10.00. And, a 25 pack of Khypermedia DVD-R for $25.

Those K-hyper's have worked well for me and my friends. I'll have to pick some of those up again.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  4. Just be careful, I was told last week that the manufacturers honor the receipts for rebates dated on or after Sunday. Check with your store to be sure.

  5. Cendyne now have one drive that works with -R/RW and another with +R/RW, so choose what you really want, or wait for a future ħR/RW release from Pioneer and maybe Cendyne too.

The rebate is for the +R/RW model.

So true. The -R was out-of-stock since February. When I asked the store manager if they have got any units coming in, he admitted he had not seen one for the past few weeks before the sales was on and the same was true during the week it was on sale. Other sales items are often out of stock. Apparently, they do not stock any sales items they put on their ads. It seems to me that it is false advertising. I am really tempted to bring it to the BBB so that they can investigate.

Well that may not be totally true. Most large companies that have stores throughout the country have their ad's put out by the main office. The individual stores usually have no say in the ad's whatsoever. In fact these companies aren't stupid and do send out the sales items to the stores before the sale starts. There lies the problem. On popular items a lot of times the sale items will sell out before the sale actually starts. So when the sale begins the sale item is out of stock. I myself having worked for one such company can tell you for a fact that this kind of thing does happen. On the plus side, if you were one of those people who purchased a sale item before the sale started and you are within their return policy you can usually go in with your receipt and have the non sale price refunded and be rung up again at the sale price. I've done this myself at Office Max without any problems.
