And when I burn onto my cd+rw in Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 the resulting video on both my apex dvd player and on windvd looks as if it was recorded thru venitain blinds. It has like slits/slats going across it, sound is fine but the video is hosed. recorded a vcd with this dvdrw drive and it played great, so im guessing the burner is good but that im missing something somewhere. anyone ? this is I believe the same as the sony dru dvd+r/-r rewritable. helP

don't update and don't ask for help anymore then...

Nero had problem with DVD burner and was praticly all solved after 5.5.10.20 and more.. Also, maybe becose the burner you have wasn't out when your version get released and they added it on a new bersion ? but don't update, it could work and it's free..

Both of you two are dorks. It was a simple fix. Maybe you too should NOT answer anyones questions for help because both your answers were WRONG! Idiots

  7. Erm, I thought 'update to the latest version' was a very sensible piece of advice myself. You have a new DVD writer, and are using software written before it existed to write it. A newer version is very likely to be more compatible.

My other advice would be to select DVD in the top left corner, above the CD templates

Most Nero updates consist mainly of the program recognising new drives, you have a new drive, the advice was good advice.

The problems with Nero and DVD burning is widely known. Not to mention the burner compatability updates that are the main reason Nero is updated so frequently.

Maybe your ID should be jaxxass instead. You ask for advice, you are given SENSIBLE and GOOD advice, and you spurn it? OK, my bad, maybe someone with 13 posts in this forum knows more than somone with over 100. Here's some advice, go ask the Clearasil ad at the CompUSA tech counter for some tech help. I'm sure you'll be happy.
