  1. i can't figure out how to get nero to recognize my sony drx-500ul. it only recognizes my internal cd-rw. is there a special driver or something that i need to download. can someone please help me because i feel like i have thrown 350 bux down the toilet - thanks

    ps. im using nero 5.9.9.9 and i have tried earlier versions too

  3. yes i have that too, but that does not recognize it either - the only authoring program i have that recognizes it is recordnow

  4. Did you select Sony DRX-500UL from the "Choose Recorder" icon at the top of Nero?

  5. I had the same problem. Finally I installed the newest version of Nero, and it worked for me. hope it helps

    In Nero Express, where you have the option to choose your recorder, your Sony DVD burner should be listed twice. 1 as a DVD and 2 as a CDR/RW, of course choose DVD if its there and then click on Video files and load your VOB's and burn your DVD.

  7. yea i know about the choose recorder thing, but the problem i am talking about is the fact that it doesnt list the recorder for me to choose from - hey jilbear - what version are you now using - thanks

  8. Do you have the retail version of Nero or the OEM version that is only supposed to work with the retail drive that it is sent with?
