ERROR - DVDX - PLEASE HELP

I installed dvdx v2.2 and when i tried to access video file from the dvd rom, I got this error message:

"Auth.dll: can't authenticate drive. Disk may be not locked"

then when I click ok, I got the second error message:

"MPEG2Dec.Error during decoder initialation"

Could some one tell me what going wrong please?

I can play my dvd disk but everytime i begin to create vcd, i get thios error messages.

you should use smatripper or some thing to rip the vobs to the hard drive.
if you rip the dvd to avi,(s)vcd ect... can damage your drive.
the lock error-just play the dvd with powerdvd or another player for a few seconds.

Use Eazy Vcd, nice and basic, gets the job done.
