    i want to convert a powerpoint file to mpg and burn it as a machine-readable vcd.

    i have flash mx and i've found that it can export flash file to avi.
    i think i can keep the quailty loss to the minimum if i can convert powerpoint to flash first. then export flash file to avi.

    but the post important is if there is any software that can convert powerpoint file to flash???

    I don't know about powerpoint to flash. However if you save each slide as a .jeg or .bmp then you can build an animation in animation shop and save it as an .avi

    thank you for replying to me

    but i want to retain the special effects of the powerpoint.if there are some other software that can convert powerpoint file to other video format,such as *.mov

    then i think i do the rest with my TMPGEnc
