What the... my DVD is a 16X (16x-DVD, 40x-CD)
But in SmartRipper, I only rip at the speed of 2x???
What the problem? It's normal?

yes, it's normal.
many dvd-rom drives are locked to 2x when ripping a dvd-video disc (as opposed to a dvd-rom data disc).
I have a Raite that's not locked, Lite-On is known for not being locked. You might want to get a new drive.

So, how can I unlock this feature? I have a Toshiba SD-M1502.
The only firmware i've found it's for a region-free (already patched).
And what DVD-ROM have a good reputation to rip at a good speed, or can be unlocked to rip faster? -
Well my run in withis problem with my DVD-Rom was to delete the IDE channel it was on and re-boot. This then enabled me to rip at 7X speed.

So, just delete my ide channel will raise my rip speed??? -
ripping speed can be deceiving. If your using a 16x drive the average dual layer disk should rip in 16-20 minutes.
