    Programs you need:
    1. DVD Decrypter
    2. DVD2AVI
    3. DVD Toolbox (for episodes only)
    3. Vegas 4.0 + DVD

    1. First you rip dvd ( I used an episode dvd)
    2. Use dvdtoolbox to extract each episode into it's own .vob file (more than one vob if episode is over 1/2 hour)
    3. Run dvd2avi and select save project, not save avi (because you only want the .wav file)
    4. Run Vegas 4.0 and but the .vob file into the timeline. Next get your .wav file and put it under the movie. Highlight both video & Audio and right-click and select new group.
Then you can edit the episode the way you want (I usually cut out the opening part. you can create a mpeg2 for just the opening and have it play when you first put in your dvd)
Then select properties and select to match it to your .vob file. (if you proerties are progressive you must render it in progressive otherwise your picture will jump) If it's interlaced render it that way. (you can select bitrate size to either fit 4 on a dvd or a lower bitrate to fit more on a dvd
After you render your mpeg files Open dvd architect and make your menu and burn.

Why not just use VOBedit and rip out the MPEG2 video and AC3/PCM/MP2 audio? Then you have the original files at your disposal.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

You could rip out the video and audio stream with DVDdecrypter also.

Because Vegas 4.0 and Adobe premiere 6.5 doesn't let you import .ac3 files for your audio. And since you can import .vob in Vegas 4.0, you get the best picture.
